RESOLUTION REGARDING APPROPRIATE LAND USE
Whereas, the University of North Carolina is a substantial landholder and
Whereas, the University of North Carolina has an outstanding resource within its faculties and
Whereas, it falls within the obligation of the University of North Carolina to exemplify and encourage responsible stewardship of our natural resources, especially land,
Be it resolved therefore, that the Faculty Assembly recommend to President Spangler that campuses of the University of North Carolina give serious consideration to the impact of all their land-use plans on biological diversity and public health, and in that consideration to seek the advice of faculty with appropriate expertise.
