RESOLUTION FOR FACULTY PARTICIPATION IN THE UNIVERSITY PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH

WHEREAS, President C. D. Spangler has fostered an atmosphere of cooperation between the General Administration and the Faculty of the University of North Carolina and

WHEREAS, The Faculty Assembly of the University of North Carolina represents the Faculty of the University;

WHEREAS, Faculty representatives have been involved in the process of selecting leaders at the constituent institutions; and

WHEREAS, The Faculty possesses a wealth of experience in higher education--the mission, responsibilities, and administration thereof; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That President Spangler request the Board of Governors include active Faculty Assembly participation in the search process for the next President.
